Resolutions

2020 Resolutions

Note that I am shifting from semesters (4 months) into quarters as I wrap up school ... this methodology is based off of the book The 12 Week Year.

January - September

  • Resolutions largely on hold as I finished up university and began full-time work at Sun Life Financial in part due to covid-19 pandemic

October - December

  • Hoping to finish the last quarter of 2020 strong ... will add some goals shortly.

2019 Resolutions

January - April: Semester of Structure

  • Languages (Serbian)
    • 5 hours per week of studying
    • 0.5 hours per week with a native speaker
  • Exercise
    • 1 day of swimming per week
    • 2 days of running per week
    • 1 day of innertube water polo intramural per week
    • 1 day of bouldering intramural per week
  • Organization / Order
    • Effectively integrate a to-do list.
    • Create high-level schedule and action-items each month
    • Create detailed weekly schedules (Sunday evening review)
    • Follow schedules daily
  • Focus
    • Spend one day each week (Saturday) focused on resting and taking a break from distractions. Nothing will be scheduled on this day.

May - December:

  • I was much too busy with school (Head TA work, JDCC debate team, case competition team coach, etc.) and as a result was not focused on structure/resolutions as I should have been.

2018 Resolutions

  • Languages: Intensive Spanish until March. Italian after that and then Hebrew / Polish. Maintain all languages.
  • Reading: Goal of 6 books this year. To be increased upon completion.
  • Exercise: Couch to 5K program, swimming, and 7 minute workout
  • Co-op: Continue learning and be valuable to Sun Life Financial.
  • Involvement: Prioritize and focus involvements: Business TA, JDCC Team, Emergency Response Team, MLSB in summer

2017 Resolutions

  • Improve both German and Italian, and explore a 4th language
  • Read more. At least a little every day.
  • Follow the Couch to 5K program with the goal of entering a race during the summer
  • Enjoy the first co-op term of my program
  • Keep at least a 10.5 GPA across all courses
  • Stay involved during semesters 4 & 5

  • Start learning Italian
